The mission Seagate Technology's Fremont Research Center Recording Media Organization is to develop solutions for complex engineering systems related to every step of media production. It is a place where creative minds shine through solving challenging engineering problems.

• Perform system design including analog and digital circuits
• Perform FPGA and microprocessor development, including hardware descriptor languages (i.e. Verilog, VHDL)
• Create schematic symbols, component geometries and electronic components utilizing Mentor Graphics PADS or similar software
• Create drawings, Gerber files and other documentation for PCB fabrication, assembly and internal verification
• Work with design team to identify test failure root cause, implement, and verify corrective actions

Interns typically work Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm. The hours are subject to change with or without notice at the sole discretion of Seagate.

• Currently pursuing a Masters in Electrical & Computer Engineering
• Available summer 2022 starting in May or June and returning to school in the fall
• Proficient communication with team members
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a creative environment

• Excellent EE fundamentals that will be used to perform system design including analog and digital circuits
• Experience with FPGA and microprocessor development, including hardware descriptor languages (i.e. Verilog, VHDL)
• Experience in printed circuit board digital and analog circuit design
• Experienced with PADS design tool (Or similar CAD tool )
