Summary

The IT Solutions Engineer Analyst Iis responsible for software and hardware product delivery and performance for all application spaces including next generation technology such as cloud engineering and mobile applications. Drives products from design completion to volume production release through lifecycle including troubleshooting software and system problems to ensure performance and reliability.

  • Experience in SQL, programming (C#, Java, Python, Javascript), ETL tools (Azure Data Factory, Informatica)

  • Knowledge in Data analytics and Business Intelligence tools

  • Experience designing and delivering cloud-based data solutions (Azure/AWS)

  • Experience facilitating data for big data analytics and business intelligence/reporting.

  • Experience working in both agile and waterfall projects

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or related field and 1 year of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.

  • Requires basic technical subject matter knowledge within a job area or system

Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualification

  • Excellent SQL design and development skills. Develop high-quality, complex SQL queries that interface with applications. Design tables, store procedures, views, functions, forms, and reports.
  • Experience with one of the major RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server preferred).
  • Working experience with cloud technologies (like Microsoft Azure Synapse, Microsoft Azure ADF, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Autonomous Database etc.)
  • Knowledge of all aspects of software development lifecycle SDLC.
  • Familiarity with concept of Data modeling, Data structure, table design, data warehouse design( Dimensional Modeling), Data analytics, reporting.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOPs and agile methodology
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the analytical infrastructure that enables the majority of functions in the data world
  • Assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements
  • Deep understanding of the popular data analysis tools and databases, infrastructure as a code to create and maintain an optimal pipeline architecture
Major Accountabilities

1) Develops/configures new applications to meet functional and technical designs

2) Fixes and develops changes to applications to meet functional and technical designs following best practices and development standards and guidelines

3) Engages with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements and contributes to completion of functional specifications

4) Prepares technical documentation on application specifications

5) Creates deliverables according to the SDLC, such as functional and technical specifications, use cases, test cases, and system documentation

6) Analyzes and resolves development issues in a timely manner

7) Conducts analysis of codes and develops/ deploys defect fixes in engineering processes

8) Proactively assists internal clients with technical issues related to solution implementation

FlexRole:
This position is not required to be performed at a specific APS facility as long as adequate technology and a solid ergonomic set up are present. Pending agreement with leadership, employees hired into this role will be able to choose where they prefer to perform their work. Employees will have two options to choose from:

  • APS office based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from an APS facility.
  • Home based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from his/her home.

*Employees in Flex roles are required to reside in Arizona (or NM for Four Corners-based employees). Role types are subject to change based on business need.
