Position Overview: The Principal PowerBI Developer's primary responsibility is to create impactful, dynamic, and insightful healthcare data visualization and analytics for Inovalon's data platforms and create performant, highly integrated reporting based on large datasets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Build intuitive interfaces, infographics, and visualizations to tell stories with data; use expertise and software for prototyping and UI/UX research;

* Work in a fast-paced, cross-functional Agile environment especially as it pertains to formulating and fine-tuning design ideas and guidelines;

* Perform engaging presentations of relevant dashboards to internal and external audiences;

* Develop intuitive designs, and build enterprise interactive dashboards with built-in guided healthcare data analytics;

* Prove new concepts and support product development by providing market requirements and UI/UX design;

* Conduct market research activities to discover and validate data visualization and reporting requirements by conducting client and potential client interviews;

* Support with the marketing team to deliver positioning documents, marketing plan, and other go-to-market related activities;

* Assist leadership with analysis and research in the development of data visualization and reporting strategy and roadmap;

* Use data visualization and reporting expertise to assist Sales, Solution Engineers, and RFP teams with product questions; develop and maintain domain knowledge of the various data sources used by the data visualization and reporting platform;

* Coordinate with technology and other groups to create timely release notes and other client-facing communication and collaterals related to the data visualization and reporting releases; and

* Coordinate with client-facing support teams and marketing to create and maintain relevant, engaging, and insightful support documentation and training tools.

* Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement;

* Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position;

* Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company;

* Uphold responsibilities relative to the separation of duties for applicable processes and procedures within your job function; and

Job Requirements:

* Proficiency in building scalable, robust dashboards using Microsoft PowerBI;

* Expert level knowledge of reading, writing and modifying data to and from one or more types of databases required;

* Minimum of 4 years of software development experience required;

* Minimum of 8 years of prior work experience required;

* Knowledge of Python programming is highly preferred;

* Experience working with big data a big plus;

* Experience with REST, SOAP, and related Web Service oriented architectures a big plus;

* Experience developing data driven applications

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology required.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Base Compensation Range
$98,145$135,000 USD
