As Planning & Fulfillment Specialist, you will support the development of the planning and fulfillment-related processes, skills, and tools. This role supports performance improvement, including customer on-time delivery and lead time, ensuring adherence to inventory targets and supply plan optimization.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving inventory optimization projects within the site
  • Supports and maintains inventory management processes for finished/semi-finished goods and/or raw materials in line with company guidelines
  • Performs standard and ad hoc detailed analyses of planning and fulfillment metrics, including Days Inventory on Hand (DIH), on-time delivery, lead time, forecast accuracy, and resource utilization
  • Identifies key root causes for non-performance and drives improvement initiatives across businesses
  • Establishes and shares best practices for operations planning, inventory management, and resource management
  • Supports local operations planners, master schedule planners, and material planners in implementing new processes and/or tools for material planning
  • Supports the local implementation of planning technology solutions
  • Compiles and shares weekly/monthly reports with business leaders on planning and fulfillment and inventory performance
  • Releases purchase requisitions and initiates purchase orders in the system, aligning them with customer requirements (based on ERP and standard operation procedures) and as per the release strategy and table of authorities
  • Monitors suppliers' order acknowledgments and dispatch advice, along with the inbound freight, customs clearance, and local transportation processes. Handles urgent situations to ensure timely deliveries
  • Monitors the purchase orders backlog and performs regular expending activities with internal (feeder factories) and external suppliers to ensure customer on-time delivery
  • Minimizes the late backlog by proactively identifying root causes and implementing recovery plans
Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or related technical/STEM field of study strongly preferred, along with 5 years experience in a Material Planning or Manufacturing Environment
  • Must have experience in a fast-paced production operations environment, preferably within a technology or electrification related product manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical skills, Self-motivated and strong communication skills
  • Microsoft 365 Office Program Proficiency
  • SAP ERP Experience in the Production Module
  • Experience in supplier relations, Supplier Management, thorough knowledge of planning tools, quality processes and understanding of commercial terms and standard planning's procedures a plus
  • Experience required optimizing customer on-time delivery, lead-time, and inventory accuracy
  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • International Awareness and respect of cultural differences
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
