About the Role

The Director, Forecasting & Analytics leads the development of a best-in-class forecasting and analytics function that supports the Guardant Health Screening Commercial Leadership and broader team. This role is focused on demand forecasting, field force planning, customer targeting and segmentation and sales and marketing analytics and insights. They will be a member of the Sales Operations & Analytics team and reporting into the Sr. Director, Sales Operations & Analytics and partnering with Marketing, Market Access, FP&A, Customer Experience and Sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, lead, and build commercial forecasting and analytics function in the screening division
  • This role will have one direct report to begin with and will expand as screening division grows and scales.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly, and long-term demand and revenue forecast in partnership with FP&A and other commercial leaders in Screening division
  • Utilize operational analyses, primary and secondary data sources to deliver short and long-term forecast, support business case development, market sizing and competitor trends
  • Partner with other members of sales and marketing team leadership to pressure test and validate commercial strategy and executional success, and assess and measure internal strengths and weakness, along with external opportunities and threats
  • Drive successful collaborations with your cross-functional partners ensuring research, analytics and insights delivered by the team are actionable
  • Work cross-functionally with other commercial leaders, such as sales leadership and finance, to ensure the commercial team can adequately assess performance and has a clear understanding of our place in the primary care and oncology diagnostics market

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of related, relevant experience (i.e., analytics, market research, marketing, sales, etc. in pharma, biotech or diagnostics) required
  • 2+ years of oncology or specialty diagnostics analytics experience necessary.
  • Exemplary experience and proven track record executing across multiple aspects of commercial analytics and insights, including forecasting, sales analytics, and primary market research.
  • Strong people management and leadership experience, and a demonstrated track record of successful build out of team at early stages of market development
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team-based environment and partner with external/internal stakeholders
  • The ideal candidate will have both prior experiences in management consulting applied to pharma or biotech, and direct experience in the industry in an analytical role

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a quantitative discipline. Advanced degree preferred (PhD, MBA)

Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $151,800 to $242,900. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any).

For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $202,400 to $273,200. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment.Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment.Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
