Sr. Project Designer

Job Description Summary

The Design Consultant will be responsible for managing and coordinating the content of our Design Catalog. This role involves close collaboration with Prototype Partners, stakeholders and vendors to ensure content located in the Design Catalog is up to date and coordinated. The Design Catalog requires a strong understanding of drawings, templates, standards, specifications, and product sheets to ensure seamless coordination between all information.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing and updating the Design Catalog with current and accurate information by doing continuous auditing of the content.
  • Coordinate with Prototype Partners to ensure design content (product sheets, specifications, template drawings, implementation guidance and other design components) are up-to-date and meet the required standards.
  • Review and understand detailed drawings, templates, and specifications to maintain consistency across the catalog.
  • Facilitate the integration of new design elements and standards into the catalog.
  • Ensure that all design documents are in alignment and that any discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Supporting the scripting or standards, schedules, cut sheets, etc.
  • Coordination and support of change management processes
  • Develop effective relationships with key internal and external partners to identify their needs and increase their understanding of tools
  • Understand industry best practices and respond to changes in the internal and external business environment to secure the best value for the customer
  • Ability to plan and meet deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in design, architecture management or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of design principles and understanding of building components.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools relevant to Design Catalog management, including, but not limited to, Revit, BIM360, and SharePoint
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and manage a wide range of design documents.
  • Strong knowledge of architecture design and operations, construction principles and understanding of generally applicable laws and regulations with respect to restaurants and public use buildings
  • Strong presentation and organizational skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to convey design concepts and goals
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Curious nature, intuitiveness, challenge the status quo
  • Ability to work independently, self-starterTravel; 1-2 trips per year
