About the team

The Managed Service team is a group of dynamic, knowledgeable, and collaborative individuals that use their Business and technology understanding to provide day to day solutions and support for multiple key systems within the FIS Capital Markets world. This team of IT professionals oversees designing, testing, and implementing very complex functionalities within their respective system by leveraging all the expertise in FIS's cutting-edge technology and day to day financial concepts.

About the product:

* GMI is a back - office clearing and accounting software.

* Supported Products: -

Exchange - traded Derivatives, Futures, Options, Energy, Cleared OTC Products

* Offers integrated books and records for multiple asset classes in a single system.

* Provides global market coverage with new emerging markets added frequently.

What you will be doing

* You will be assisting the global client in adapting the GMI system to their business needs.

* You will be managing relations with the client, researching, and presenting business solutions, tracking and resolving issues.

* You will be ensuring that the client is well informed and prepared for all exchange-mandated initiatives.

* You will be assessing risks of various solutions and prioritize competing business demands.

* Coordinating project delivery by participating in design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate designs and validate proposed solutions.

* Designing Test plans to further validate new functions or improvements on existing functions.

* Collaborate with relationship managers, business development, Daily Support teams, QA teams, Operations teams, and even direct clients.

* Participating in Functionality Testing, Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing, document test cases and results.

* Following change management process regarding change deployment.

* Leveraging subject-matter-experts across the organization to improve your skills and become an independent contributor.

What you bring

* 3-4 years' experience on GMI/IBM AS400 application preferred.

* 6 months to 1 year of experience with SQL queries and data structures

* 6 months to 1 year of Windows and Linux Operating Systems command

* Shell scripting, PowerShell/cmd experience a great plus.

* Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail/accuracy

* Capability to change priorities when circumstances dictate and to adapt toward tight deadlines in fast-paced and complex work environment.

* Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner.

* Financial/Fin Tech Industry preferred (Knowledge of Derivatives or OTC trading would be a great plus)
