Job Description

As a QC Specialist, you will be performing various quality testing and data review of Bio-Rad manufactured products to ensure required specifications are met. As part of Good Laboratory & Manufacturing Practices, the Specialist is required to complete quality documents and data recording in accordance to internal protocol. This position will work closely with multiple departments, the Specialist will need to actively be informed of Departments' schedules and prepare the appropriate reagents and instruments for testing.

How You'll Make An Impact:

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot QC Laboratory instrumentation.
  • Create and release product batch records according to applicable procedures.
  • Evaluate assay runs for accuracy and input data into the appropriate database or software.
  • Ensure product testing is completed accurately and in a timely manner, following GDP guidelines.
  • Work in a team environment and interface with other departments when required.
  • You will perform quality checks and tests before, during and after the manufacturing of Bio-Rad controls to ensure they meet required specifications.
  • You will identify any defects or inconsistencies that will assist in improving processes.
  • You will work independently and in different teams within the organization, such as R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing and Marketing; to contribute to the overall success.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a life science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in the use of clinical laboratory techniques and equipment.
  • Expertise in instrument operation, calibration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with immunoassay and chemistry testing platforms a plus.
  • Experience with operating LIMs (such as input results, configure, and implement improvements) a plus.
  • Analytical skills to identify areas of improvements or deficiencies
  • Time management to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Clear communication to ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Attention to detail.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $82,000 - $112,800 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
